In Other News:
Medal Of Honor Pacific Assualt EA
has informed the MOHTeam late yesterday afternoon, about the decision to drop vehicles in Multiplayer. Here is what we where
told and why they can't do it.
I'm going to cut to the chase here - we've cut vehicles from Multiplayer. We've almost reached our alpha
deadline (approval should be pending any day now) and the dev team decided that by trying to get vehicles to look good and
play well, it would divert more resources and effort from the core gameplay of MOH and would jeopardize our schedule. At one
point we did have a fully drivable jeep in both single and multiplayer, as well as water transports in MP. Unfortunately the
nature of the project is that TKO is dependent on EALA for a lot of things and doesn't always have the bandwidth to implement
or fine tune Multiplayer-exclusive features (we're already stretched pretty thin with all of the new Invader gameplay and
community support features). This is one of those cases.
Please pay close attention to the "community support" comments. You loose one thing and gain a lot
more!
I hope that this doesn't come as a huge disappointment to you guys and that you can understand the rationale
behind this decision and stick with us. We don't want to give you guys an unfinished, half-assed feature that makes the game
look bad. In the long run, I hope you guys see that it will only result in a more finely tuned and balanced multiplayer product
that will have the features you guys really want and have been clamoring for since Allied Assault. If you have any complaints,
concerns, or questions please feel free to share them here on the forum. Again, my apologies.
